At its heart, Group Policy is a systems management technology that can have great implications for the security of an Active Directory environment. In this session we will delve into the ways that GPOs can be both used and misused by those that gain a level of control over it. This session will feature concrete examples and live demos.

Matthew Vinton is a Strategic Systems Consultant with Quest, where he focuses on Active Directory security for some of the largest Quest customers. Before Quest, he spent over a decade designing, migrating, and securing Active Directory environments for customers across North America.
